Veterinary Services
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, Villa Veterinary Care stresses the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Wellness/annual exams: We provide annual and wellness exams to assess the current health status of your pet as well as offer.
New puppy and kitten care: We have great guidelines on how to best manage the health care and needs that your new puppy or kitten have in order to grow into a happy and healthy pet.
Vaccinations: We follow the Vaccination Guidelines for Dogs and Cats in recommending certain “core” vaccines. We may make suggestions for additional vaccines based on an individualized assessment of your pet's risk factors, life stage, and lifestyle.
Microchipping : We offer microchip identification.
Health screening/lab work: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Heartworm Testing: We offer heartworm testing but do not provide heartworm treatment.
Pain and arthritis management: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Skin/Allergy Management: We provide treatment plans to help manage and ease skin issues and/or allergies
Ultrasounds: We offer limited ultrasounds which can assist us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
Radiology Services: We are able to provide high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Behavior and anxiety treatment: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
End of life care:
Upon request, we provide burial and cremation services. We collaborate with a reputable crematory service that excels in helping us memorialize our pets
Ear/eye infections: We offer treatments for ear and eye infections.
Note: We do not offer the following services:
- Emergency visits
- Urgent sick visits
- Heartworm treatment
- Hospitalization
- Dentistry
